Guestbook for Dr. Arvey Leroy Mason Showing 1 - 4 of 4 entries.

We will always remember Brother Mason as a friend, a fine preacher, and a devoted teacher at Zarephath Bible Seminary. My wife, Sandy, took several courses that Dr. Mason taught, to the point where our children when they were little used to refer to him as "Mommy's teacher" when they would see him or be in a meeting where he was preaching or leading the worship. We have appreciated especially our friendship with his daughter Glenda and her husband Charlie Friedly, who were Godparents for our older son Rob Turton IV when they lived in NJ. We recall that Elder Mason and his first wife, Sister Faye Mason, participated in the dedication services of Calvary Gospel Mission Chapel, Windsor, NJ, and he also took part in our wedding by giving the benediction. I recall that for awhile when I was younger and had a mustache, that he would tease me about it. He was like Barnabas: "a good man and full of the Holy Ghost and faith" - a real encourager to others of God's people!
Sincerely, Pastor Bob and Sandy Turton

Brother Mason was a dear friend and Christian brother. He always had kind things to say, a sweet smile, and great faith to share with all who knew him. I cherish his memory.

Dr. Mason was very dear to me. I always looked forward to his lessons when he was scheduled to speak. He was erudite, interesting, and personal, and had a wonderful love for the Lord and insight into the Scripture.
Just a couple of weeks ago he was such a gracious and delightful host at the party for his 95th birthday despite being confined to bed and frail and ill. He was a blessing to every life he touched, and he will be greatly missed. Our loss is Heaven's gain. Now he is singing in Heaven's Christmas choir!
Our love and condolences to all the family. --Suzanne and David
